Accounting & Finance

The accounting and finance team, including accounts payable and receivable, benefits, forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and payroll, is responsible for the overall finance functions of the company. They produce accurate reporting projections, monthly cost reports, and are responsible for Shawmut’s unique commitment to paying our subcontractors and vendors promptly. The people who comprise this team have a strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a sense of urgency.

 

Administrative Support

Executive assistants, project administrators, and project administrative assistants all provide the support and assistance to help our project teams efficiently manage their projects. They serve as liaisons between their project team, the department, clients, and subcontractors. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and sense of urgency are characteristics that are required to excel in any of the administrative support roles.

 

Information Technology

Desktop publishers, database administrators, application support analysts, and help desk professionals comprise our Information Technology department. It is their job to keep our systems running smoothly. They are always researching the latest applications and industry trends, as well as conducting training, to ensure we are always ahead of the technology curve. To succeed in our Information Technology department candidates must possess a passion for technology, and demonstrate a sense of urgency and excellent customer service skills.

 

Marketing

Writers, graphic designers, marketing coordinators, and marketing specialists are all responsible for executing Shawmut’s marketing deliverables. Marketing is responsible for all of the company’s internal and external marketing collateral including ads, brochures, site signage, public relations, client events, the Shawmut employee newsletter, and the Website. Candidates must possess a sense of urgency, eye for detail, ability to execute high caliber projects on tight deadlines, and a capability to work with a diverse group of people both within the company and externally.

 

Office Services

Receptionists, mailroom coordinators, facility coordinators, and office managers all make up our Office Services department. They keep our many offices running smoothly and help make our clients and other guests feel welcome. This team is responsible for front desk phones and reception, mailroom operations, maintenance of common areas, and office equipment. Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and exceptional customer service skills are some of the traits we look for when hiring within Office Services.

 

People Strategies

Human resources generalists, compensation analysts, recruiting specialists, and trainers with experience from a variety of industries all make up our People Strategies Team (PST). Each member within this team supports Shawmut’s efforts in providing cutting-edge training, recruitment of the best and brightest employees, managerial and coaching development, as well as diversity efforts. PST is always looking for ways to make Shawmut stand-out from its competition. Candidates for a PST position should have excellent communication skills, an ability to motivate and coach people, and a knack for promoting Shawmut’s values and culture.
