Boston, MA—May 7, 2008—Shawmut Design and Construction (www.shawmut.com), a leading national construction management firm, has recently brought William Morash on staff as Managing Director of Construction Operations. Bill is a seasoned and well-respected industry executive with more than 30 years of experience working in the New England construction industry. As the Managing Director of Construction Operations he will offer high-level support to Shawmut’s construction operations teams in their growing markets in Boston, Providence, and New Haven. Bill will be responsible for maintaining Shawmut’s highest standards in relation to all aspects of construction. As a new strategic leader, he will support some of Shawmut’s most complex projects and clients in the academic, healthcare and science, corporate interiors, commercial, and cultural and historic preservation groups. Prior to joining Shawmut Bill worked for Kennedy & Rossi, beginning as Project Manager. With years of complex construction experience behind him and upon Linbeck Group, L.P. acquiring Kennedy & Rossi, in 2000 he assumed the position of Senior Vice President of Linbeck Group, L.P. His tenure with the company spanned 24 years and his resume includes facility projects for clients in the educational/institutional, life sciences, biopharmaceutical, religious, cultural, and commercial industries. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Shawmut is known for delivering exceptional, personalized service to their clients. By promoting and hiring seasoned construction personnel within their areas of specialized expertise, Shawmut will continue to be able to implement best-in-class tools and services as it grows.
