  • Fair and unbiased pay and promotion practices through our focal point review cycle, which eliminates the influence of the business cycle. 
  • Shawmut Flex, implemented in 2016 well before the pandemic, allows employees the flexibility to condense the work week and work remotely. 
  • An Inclusion Learning and Awareness Plan that empowers our team with the knowledge and tools needed to identify and disrupt unconscious bias. 
  • Our Sponsorship Relationships combat natural affinity bias by pairing high-potential, underrepresented employees with executive sponsors to drive advocacy and opportunities, with the goal of promotion to the leadership team. 
  • Shawmut Connect Mentorship Program pairs mentors and mentees based on goals and experience to make the best matches, eliminating the potential for unconscious bias during the matching process.
  • Culture of Care Toolbox Talks focus on safety from a psychological and well-being standpoint, shared on all our jobsites and companywide to drive awareness and create opportunities for people to feel comfortable reaching out for support.
