A note from CEO Les Hiscoe:

There’s no doubt that the continuous advancement of AI and technology will drive productivity, efficiency, and safety in the construction industry. But what’s going to propel us even more are the people behind the technology, taking a holistic look at projects, finding ways to innovate with the tech, and ultimately providing the best building experience for clients.

At Shawmut, we’re lucky to have the best in the business. Thirty-six of our employee-owners recently entered new roles, we hired more key talent—including education, multi-family, and hospitality project executives in both Los Angeles and Miami—and recently onboarded a new class of CMSTs.

This year alone, our people have been named Commercial Real Estate Visionaries, Industry Leaders, Ones to Watch, Women of Influence, Rising Stars, Mavericks, Top Young Professionals, and Mentors of the Year.

It’s because of our people that we can:

• Use the largest mobile crane in New York City to replace 14, seven-ton cooling towers, moving from roof to street level without any impact to the building’s 24/7 operations, like our team did for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
• Simultaneously demolish and preserve a 20th-century masonry building to create an established gateway to a major institution’s city campus, like our team is close to completing at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Metropolitan Storage Warehouse
• Renovate 440 high-end hotel rooms across 20 floors in just 16 weeks, turning over two full floors per week, like our Las Vegas team is doing at Caesars Palace
