Shawmut Underway on Fifth Consecutive Off-Season Renovation at Petco Park

Completing in time for the San Diego Padres’ Opening Day of the 2025 season, the Shawmut team is underway on a 10,000 square-foot renovation of the iconic Western Metal Supply Co. Building. One of the biggest upgrades to the 1909 historic structure is the new rooftop lounge, created by a structural deck and new staircase that connects it to the Budweiser Loft. The rooftop increases seating capacity and adds improved sight lines, and will feature a covered trellis, premium lounge seating, and two Daktronics LED videoboards.

On the fifth floor, the team is updating the Sony Entertainment Suite with an expanded deck and seating, premium catering layout, and luxury finishes; both the Foul Pole Suite and Budweiser Loft bars are being renovated. On the ground floor, the team is expanding the Padres’ New Era Team Store by 1,000 square feet.
