The renovation of the existing dining room and kitchen at Eleven Madison Park, which at the time was number one on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, included a new open-flowing kitchen as well as modifications to the three private dining rooms upstairs. The old space was modernized with unique finishes and updates, including a gold leaf ceiling above the bar area. Working within the aggressive schedule to complete the renovation in 56 days, Shawmut crafted intensive preconstruction and procurement processes, allowing the team to turn over the space to the client on time. The team was working in an occupied building and directly above a data center, so Shawmut ensured that the space had proper protection to ensure nothing was damaged.
