The ProShop exemplifies the Bruins and Celtics brand experience, and its fitout presented challenges that the team overcame with collaboration and creative problem-solving. The space spans both the ground floor of TD Garden and the adjacent Hub on Causeway, and because of this bifurcated location, Shawmut had to ensure fire separation was maintained, and a series of five concealed fire curtains were installed separating the buildings. The adjacent Marketplace Food Hall cut off access to the common elevator, the route to storage and loading dock for deliveries, and on top of that food hall and ProShop were under construction at the same time, so that their openings would coincide with that of The Hub on Causeway. The team worked through these challenges, particularly for scheduling deliveries of long-lead materials, using non-traditional sequencing of work.
