Shawmut executed a two-phased lobby renovation at 99 Summer Street, a notable 20-story, Class A office building situated in Boston’s bustling Financial District. Recognized as one of the city’s iconic office towers, the project involved a comprehensive lobby update to enhance functionality and accommodate high foot traffic.

Located near several MBTA public transit lines, shopping, and dining options, the renovation aimed to revitalize the lobby and mezzanine space, creating a dynamic public environment. The original narrow entry from Summer Street presented challenges, giving the space an alley-like feel. The team reconfigured the layout, enhancing the arrival experience and transforming it into a modern urban setting characterized by abundant light, artistic elements, and high design.
