After months of extensive planning, Shawmut successfully moved Brown University’s historic (1873) Sharpe House from Angell Street to its new foundation on Brown Street, moving at a careful rate of half a foot per second. Following the move, the house was renovated and connected to the Peter Green House (1868) via a two-story glass bridge and grade-level loggia. The new complex now houses over 100 faculty members, graduate students, and staff from Brown’s history department. The project included internal renovations, an elevator, and significant MEP upgrades, all completed on time for the academic year.
