Fast-paced fit-out for a physical therapy and imaging center on the ground floor and lower level of a landmarked building. The scope of work included the construction of MRI and CT rooms, exam/treatment rooms, a waiting area, staff lounge, and offices. The project presented logistical challenges, including demolition, roof work, and extensive MEP coordination.
Significant coordination was required for street closures to facilitate chiller deliveries to the rooftop, and riser work was completed within a neighboring tenant’s office. Additionally, close collaboration with the owner and equipment vendors ensured the timely delivery and installation of medical devices, including the precise transport and installation of an MRI unit into a partially built room. Temporary storefront removal and basement shoring were necessary to accommodate the MRI magnet installation.
