The Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab is a two-story modular facility designed as an incubator space for biochemistry-based work, featuring general BL1 lab space and dedicated BL2 specialty rooms. It includes a co-working lab with 24 lab benches, additional equipment benches, and support spaces, alongside a co-working office area with 50 desks. The faculty-in-residence section offers 11 lab benches and 16 desks, complemented by fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and essential lab utilities.
Support spaces encompass conference rooms, offices, an IT room, a mailroom, a lounge/kitchenette, and bathrooms. The mission of the Life Lab is to provide Harvard students, faculty, and alumni in biotech and life sciences with a fully equipped wet lab environment and the resources needed to advance their ventures. By fostering connections among industry, investors, government, and academic stakeholders, the Lab contributes actively to the Harvard Innovation Labs ecosystem and the growing Allston Innovation District.
