Confidential Healthcare Institution – Physical Therapy and Imaging Center
Brooklyn, NY
100 South Campus Drive is a mixed-use project in Allston that combines sustainable housing with vibrant public spaces, designed to serve Harvard affiliates, including graduate students, faculty, and staff. The building will feature 276 residential units with extensive amenities, 250 sheltered bicycle spaces, and 75 automobile parking spaces, all built to meet Passive House and Living Building Challenge Petal certifications.
Elevated three feet above grade for enhanced resiliency, the site integrates stormwater management systems, natural irrigation, and accessible outdoor spaces. These features are designed to create a campus environment that prioritizes sustainability and community well-being. The project’s construction incorporates triple-glazed windows, an optimized window-to-wall ratio, and double-height glass enclosures to foster connectivity and energy efficiency. Tree-lined streetscapes and green gathering areas will offer inviting spaces for community interaction.
Shawmut is working closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient constructability, with a focus on structural systems and material selections that support Harvard’s goals for a future-ready, low-impact development.
Situated alongside another Shawmut project—the American Repertory Theater’s Goel Center for Creativity & Performance—100 South Campus Drive is helping reshape the area into a dynamic, thriving hub that will enhance the public realm and foster stronger community connections.
