Fifth Avenue’s tallest storefront and Hublot’s tallest location in the world, the flagship is designed to mimic the appearance of a timepiece wristband, with an 85-foot powder-coated black aluminum façade illuminated with LED lights. Shawmut constructed this ground-up building between two pre-existing buildings in a space just 19-feet wide; mini-caissons and new steel beams were installed to strengthen the foundation of the building and support the façade.

The unique location of the store posed many technical challenges for the team, including running new underground utilities in from 5th Avenue. Inside, the design is complete with 19-foot-high perforated metal panel ceilings, black lava stone floors, gray suede walls, glass and polished stainless steel fixtures, and “shadowless” LCD vitrine windows.
