The fast-track 20-month schedule to renovate the 1926 hotel required that it be completely shut down for construction, which included the full renovation of all 704 guest rooms and suites, the addition of two new ballrooms on the second floor, lobby, a grand feature staircase, restaurant, bar and fitness center. Located off Park Avenue in Midtown’s East Side and built by the New York Central Railroad, the historic hotel required coordination with the MTA and constant communication among the entire project team to ensure a seamless, on-time project delivery. The renovation maintained the hotel’s 1926 Federal-style heritage while catering to the needs of modern-day guests.
