The new 13,000-square-foot Aquatics Center, constructed with pillar supports to preserve the view from the top of the hill, includes a six-lane, USA Swimming-certified pool, individual rows of bleachers, locker rooms, and a lobby gathering space. Designed to support fitness education and interscholastic team competition, this standalone facility replaces the 55-year-old Mnuchin Family Pool. Challenges included working on an active campus and a tight site above a residential area. The project achieved LEED® Silver Certification.
