Noteworthy: After nearly a decade of absence from Chicago, Benihana returned to the John Hancock Tower with the help of their trusted partner, Shawmut. Prior to the opening, Shawmut performed a full fit-out of an existing 9,000-square-foot restaurant space on the ground floor. Guests are now able to dine at the 22 new teppanyaki tables with hibachis, eat outside in the outdoor seating area, sit at the new sushi bar or cocktail lounge, or take a group into one of the three private dining rooms.
