Noteworthy: The St. John Hall Student Center is the new focal point of the campus with approximately 39,000 sf of new building space. The ground-up building includes game rooms, meeting rooms, a dance area, a school store, a restaurant, student lockers, deans and administration offices, and additional space for student clubs and media production.
This student center brings the campus community together as it serves as a central gathering space for students and faculty, available for both work and play,
The three-story structure is centrally located in the heart of the campus on Hill House Circle. Constructed of traditional Georgian-style materials with detailing taken from its historic campus neighbors, it blends with the campus vernacular. The student center was constructed in an occupied setting with active student and faculty circulation.
The building utilizes geothermal heating/cooling, and is targeting LEED® Gold Certification.
