Newark Public Library - Philip Roth Personal Library
Newark, NJ
Type of Project: Renovation
Duration of Project: 39 weeks
Square footage: 8,860 sf
Partners: Annum Architects (formerly Ann Beha Architects)
Noteworthy: Renovation to create the Philip Roth Personal Library, a research and exhibition installation that captures the Pulitzer Prize-winning author’s engagement with reading, writing, and community. The conversion of a double-height reading room within the historic four-story, Italian Renaissance-style building, added new MEP systems, as well as humidity and temperature controls, to create a museum-quality space.
