Noteworthy: The Silver Lake Pool and Inn, located in one of Los Angeles’ trendiest areas, consisted of the transformation of an existing apartment building into a 54- key hotel. The structure was also expanded to create a restaurant and patio space that is largely open air, topped with a new pool deck at the top floor. The project was limited in that it can add no FAR. Shawmut worked closely with the owner and architect to pair the building department requirements with swift constructability in a tight space.
