Noteworthy: With classes in session adjacent to the job site, the Shawmut team minimized noise and vibration by installing a 25-foot-high site fence covered with a noise-dampening fabric. The team also relocated existing utilities that ran under the footprint of the new addition, carefully phasing all shutdowns and turnovers in accordance with the needs of the campus community.
